Story People are a diverse group of people, artists, activists, healers, tinkerers. Their wish is that other people experience this amazing world we live in as a world of imagination & possibility & healing. They believe their stories do that. (& that's not just Story People stories, but all our stories...) They believe (fiercely) in the power of stories, because it is valuable & right to protect the precious connections between people.

The sculptures, made from recycled pieces of old barns & homesteads with wire & bright colors, are the soul of StoryPeople. Each sculpture is completely different. They get hundreds of letters from people telling them how their sculptures feel like friends.
A Good Something to Know: Every story can be done as a sculpture, but may not have been done yet.

The Story: Death take me now & spare me the pain, she said. It was difficult for me to get that excited. Get a grip, I said, it's only aerobics. |

Three Blind Mice
The Story
I tried for a whole summer to teach our cat to play the piano. We started with an easy song. It was 3 Blind Mice. My dad said it didn't work because the cat had a tin ear, but I think it was because she kept looking around for the blind mice the whole time & never gave it her full attention. |

This is the second book, first published in 1994. It includes over 80 stories and drawings. This book expands on the laughter and lunacy of the first book, Mostly True. It includes such favorites as 'Angels of Mercy' and 'True Things'. |

This is the third book, completed on Valentine's Day, 1995. While the first two books were done in Berkeley, this book was done in Iowa , where the artist moved with his family after 16 years in Los Angeles and San Francisco. One of his collectors has said that his stories make perfect sense for someone who's lived in Hollywood, Silicon Valley and Iowa, so maybe this third book is about coming home. |
